I had an “evil” rich Uncle when I was growing up. What made him that way was how my family talked about him… he stepped out of the “box” and found a way to make money in a different way from the rest of the family. In reality, it was that my family envied what he had accomplished financially and judged him for it.  I believe that money is neither good nor bad - it is more what you do with it that matters. Do good, and good things will come to you. If you do bad, well, let’s not give that any more energy…

Anyway, to share a little more about my family, since that’s how all this started, my Father was a great man. He supported our entire family by working in his own business. He worked long hours 6 days a week – we only got to see him one day a week. Every year my Father would take the family on vacation, and that was wonderful! But… my Father only knew how to work hard for money - he didn’t know how to make money work for him.

Eventually my Father passed, after a lifetime of working hard for long hours without ever realizing his retirement dreams, and my Mother was left knowing nothing about how to manage finances and with very few resources.  It was then that I realized I needed to help people change their thinking, make a difference in their lives, and help them develop a healthy relationship with money, finances and future planning.  My family didn’t know how money worked, and I wanted to break that cycle in the world so no one else has to experience that kind of struggle.

I decided then that I wanted to know more about money than my family did – so I studied everything I could get my hands on, attended workshops and hired mentors along the way. Eventually, I started working in the financial services industry and that taught me a lot about the very real need that people had in understanding money and the emotions around money. I spent most of my time coaching them through the fears, and old programming that they had about money before even starting the process of how to change their financial blueprint. Even though I have a license for life insurance and real estate in California, I found that coaching people through their money issues is where I excel.
